Mental Illness Awareness Week
It’s Mental Illness Awareness Week. This week is a reminder to check in on our mental health, and that of our loved ones and colleagues. During the week of October 4 – 9, we encourage you to have conversations with your family and friends about the realities of mental illness and the many treatment options that are available, so we can help raise awareness around this problem that affects over one million Ontarians each year. In addition, this coming Sunday (October 10) marks World Mental Health Day.
You can also visit Ontario.ca/MentalHealth to learn more about available services and supports, and where to get help when you need it.
On behalf of MPP Elliott, we thank everyone for raising awareness around mental illness during this important week across Newmarket-Aurora and the province of Ontario.
